I contributed this article to the Pray the Mass blog/website emanating from the Diocese of Kansas City and St. Joseph, Missouri--I am the only contributor from outside the diocese (and from Kansas, to boot--Kansas and Missouri fought real border wars in the Civil War era and have continued the fight in college sport events in the 20th and 2st centuries).
