What I'm Reading Now
Henry A. Jefferies is the head of history at Thornhill College, Derry, and visiting fellow at the Academy of Irish Cultural Heritages, University of Ulster.
Yes, I'm researching the chapter in Their Faith Was Their Crime that covers the martyrs of Ireland, of whom only a representative group has been beatified thus far, plus St. Oliver Plunkett, taken to England, charged, tried, and executed in the Popish Plot craze of Charles II's reign. Both of these books are published by Four Courts Press.
Benignus Millett OFM, is librarian in the Franciscian Friary, Dun Mhuire, Killiney, County Dublin.
Patrick Corish is emeritus professor of history, St Patrick's College, Maynooth.
